YouTube has deployed numerous new AI tools to millions of creators. The video platform is positioned to unlock more creativity and fun.
Among the features, YouTube has integrated Google Deepmind's VEO 3 Fast Generative AI Model for Video for YouTube Shorts, allowing users to create backgrounds or clips for videos using text prompts. Additionally, YouTube can add new VEO-driven features to apply motion to creators, stop Restyle videos, and add props (or other objects) to the scene. There is also a new audio tool that allows you to turn dialogs into YouTube shorts video soundtracks.
The video giant made the announcement in 2025 at a YouTube event held on Tuesday at Pier 57 in New York City. We also released new statistics. YouTube says it has paid more than $100 billion to creators, artists and media companies over four years (January 2021 to December 2024).
YouTube uses Google Deepmind's SynthID watermark and content labels to indicate that the appropriate video was generated by AI to address concerns that viewers could be confused about what was generated by AI and not.
Additionally, YouTube is expanding YouTube Studio, YouTube Studio, a suite of tools and analytics, as well as an open beta for all YouTube Partner Program Creators. This allows creators to detect and manage videos made with AI using Fayal -iclesion. It also notifies YouTube if someone is trying to misapprove it. According to the platform, YouTube Studio is used monthly by over 30 million creators.
With VEO 3, YouTube shorts allow you to generate videos using sound (480p video resolution) with text prompts and unlimited free use, according to the platform. VEO 3 In Shorts is currently a YouTube shorts creation tool for creators in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Soon, YouTube says shorts users will be able to take advantage of other Veo-equipped features, including:
- Add Movement: Apply movements from another video, such as “Fun Dance” or “Wild Sports Moves” and infuse photos. Under the hood, this uses technology to capture and transfer movements from one subject to another.
- Stylize Video: Convert videos with new styles such as pop art and origami, and tap to apply a completely different look to the video (Above photo).
- Add Object: Enter a text description to add objects such as letters, props, and effects. For example, each YouTube can “add a rubber duckey to your morning coffee or come with a giant octopus capsizing the harbor ship.”
YouTube has released an example of adding objects to a video scene using VEO.

Meanwhile, from YouTube's speech, the Songlimix Tool will soon begin testing, and will be rolled out to more creators in the US over the next few weeks.
“Imagine listening to a series of dialogues that inspire an idea, whether it's funny phrases, memorable quotes, or unique sounds. And you want to remix it into a new sound,” wrote Dina Berrada, product director for YouTube Shorts, in a blog post. “And you can add your own vibe for the song. Speech-to-Song features help create songs using the original video dialogue with Lyria 2 in the AI Music Model of Google Deepmind. According to Berrada, the final result video attributes the original creator.
Another new feature is an AI-powered editing tool. According to YouTube, this transforms the raw footage into a “persuasive first draft” by placing the best moments from the footage into a consistent story with music, transitions and narration (available in English or Hindi). “This gives you a solid starting point, so you can jump straight to the fun parts. You can personalize your video and realize your unique vision,” Bellada said.
