Xai's Grok AI allows users to create “spicy” NSFW images and videos

Long before Elon Musk bought Twitter and rebranded it to X, the platform was known for allowing users to post a wide range of explicit content. Under the anti-sensorship stewardship of masks, social media platforms have become more wild West. Xai's new Grok Imagine AI Image and Video Generator is trying to boost its reputation even further, with the alarm bell already ringing.

NBC News Later last week, Grok Imagine reported that it would soon allow users to create AI-generated videos. In addition to that news, Xai employee Mati Roy wrote in a now-deleted X post, “Grok Imagine Videos has a spicy mode that allows you to do nude.” Roy followed up with a now-now deleted comment that he imagines Grok could generate photorealistic videos of people.

This combination of spicy mode and photorealistic human generations is immediately interesting, especially considering that they signed the law signed to the law earlier this year, which aims not only to criminalize sexually express deepfakes, but also to be responsible for the generated deepfake porn of AI created on the platform.

Those who got an early version of Grok Imagine, which includes Xai employees and selected influencers, have found Grok's low-imaginative results to be impressive, but there are widespread concerns about how Xai handles the inevitable problems arising from AI images and video generators celebrating inaction, as well as many Guardrails shortages.

Grok Ai has been on fire for the past few months due to a series of incidents involving anti-Semitic rants and strange sexual AI companions.

Grok Imagine generally allows users to create content from real people and celebrities, but it appears to have additional restrictions for generating content for real people. Given how easy it was for Grok to generate any kind of content, it's hardly surprising to imagine, from the strange to the potentially dangerous. The Trump administration has started work to kill “awakening” AI models, and Grok certainly appears to fit the type of AI models without Guardrails.
