The founder of a company that teaches computer coding and AI said winning Business of the Year was a milestone for the company.
The School of coding & AI (SOC) has won an award at Birmingham’s Signature Awards, which celebrates business.
The company, which independently coaches people in corporate and public sector organizations, last year opened a £2.5m technology institute in Birmingham, redeveloped its Wolverhampton headquarters and opened an international campus in Dubai.
Manny Athwal, the company’s chief executive and founder, said it was a “huge honor” to be recognized in Midland.
“We started with a mission to reinvent digital education and create authentic paths to careers in technology. This recognition shows the real-world impact we are making,” he said.
“While we are growing as a global company, we are extremely proud of our Midland roots and it is a great honor to receive this award in Birmingham.”
The school is partnering with the University of Wolverhampton to open a campus in the city center in early 2025, offering computer science, business management and health and social care courses that use AI “across the curriculum”.
