One more name I wanted to mention because I spoke to the CFO this morning is Johnson & Johnson. Joe Walke is the CFO there. Well, I was reminded of this when we were talking about AI and the benefits of other companies.

They revised their forecast upwards and he talked about operating margin leverage, and one of the reasons for that is using AI tools for efficiency. That wasn’t the main reason, he said, but there was more of a set of reasons, but the stock was down because the medical technology numbers were disappointing.

I think they’re kind of the golden child of what AI can improve and help with, and indeed quantum computing can also improve and help with. When you think about drug trials, there is a huge amount of data that needs to be analyzed.

Think specifically about quantum computing. Think about the speed at which clinical trials can be conducted, data processed, outcomes defined, and better drugs brought to market when running data in parallel compared to traditional binary computers. I think it will completely change pharmaceuticals and medical technology.
