Meta's aggressive AI employment push
WSJ Meta has contacted more than 100 Openai employees in recent months and reported that they have successfully hired at least 10. The company is actively courting the talent of humanity and spin-offs like thinking machines in the race to build AI emergency.
But Meta spokesman Andy Stone dismissed the reward figure as “inaccurate and ridiculous,” adding that the total package depends on stock price performance. He also denied the claim that Meta had tried to acquire a thinking machine.
Tulloch at the heart of the AI Power struggle
The WSJ report portrays Tulloch as a key figure in Meta's broader recruitment strategies. His rejection of the $1.5 billion offer has become iconic in Silicon Valley's Escalate AI Arm Race.
Despite Meta's efforts, Wired So far, Thinking Machine Lab employees have reported that they have not accepted the offer.
