Through bootcamps, students learn what artificial intelligence is, where they are already interacting with AI in their lives, and the ethical implications of AI systems. This includes but is not limited to TikTok recommendations, smart home his assistant and facial recognition. , and self-driving cars. Participants will also learn about large-scale language models like ChatGPT. ChatGPT is a program for answering questions, telling original stories, and writing computer code.

Students can benefit from Mark Cuban’s livestreamed presentation and volunteer corporate mentor instructors. They are familiar with the curriculum and can help students understand the material normally taught at the college level. As part of a four-hour curriculum, students will use open source tools each day to build their own AI applications related to computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.

The Mark Cuban Foundation provides bootcamp curriculum materials, trains corporate volunteer mentors, and recruits and selects local students to attend the camp. Additionally, the Mark Cuban Foundation and Strategic Education, Inc. are working together to provide food, transportation information, and access to laptops for students to use during bootcamps.
