As the Trump administration claims, it is serious to negotiate the end of the government's closure, so hours of racist deep-fark videos, which played in the loop of the White House Briefing Room on Wednesday, played.
A video posted on a social media platform on Monday by Donald Trump, using manufactured audio, made Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer called Democrats “waking up shit,” and made House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries appear to have shown a fake mustache and a sombrero.
US Vice President JD Vance shed light on the tactics during his rare appearance in the briefing room. “I think it's funny. We have a good time, making a presidential joke, and we can also negotiate in good faith to enjoy some of the absurdities of the Democratic position, and even enjoy our own absurdities.
“I now make a strict promise to Hakeem Jeffries if I help you reopen the government, and if I'm going to stop the Sombrero meme, I've spoken to the President of the United States about it.”
Jeffries accused the memes of racist. Vance retorted: “I don't even know what that means, honestly. Is he Mexican-American angry over having a sombrero meme?”
The clip, both set in Mexican Mariaci Music, is intended to bring home the administration's false claims that Democrats are demanding health insurance subsidies for fraudulent immigrants as a condition for funding the federal government.
In fact, Democrats want to ensure funding is provided to Americans who rely on affordable care law subsidies to purchase health insurance. Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for these grants.
Democrats also called for the reversal of the Republican Tax and Expense Bills to legally strip the health benefits of current immigrants, including refugees with temporary protected statuses and non-citizens who were brought to the United States as children and previously eligible for federal benefits under the designation of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
The forged words put in Schumer's mouth are presented as admissions by Democrats in far-right conspiracy theory promoted by white supremacists, part of a conspiracy to replace white voters with immigrants who vote for Democrats, as part of a conspiracy to replace white voters with migrants who vote for Democrats, as a way of enrolling by Democrats in far-right conspiracy theory promoted by white supremacists.
The so-called “great alternative” theory cites many shooters who conducted massive racist shootings, including a gunman who killed 23 people at Walmart in El Paso, Texas in 2019, and another gunman who killed 11 congregations at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh in 2018. In 2017, he met in Charlottesville, Virginia, and said, “The Jews will not replace us.”
After Jeffries called out the first video racist, Trump posted a second clip of Democrats calling the produced video “snarky.” There, the sombrero and mustache will be added again to lawmakers, and the Maria Chiband, where four versions of Trump will be played in the background.
