Chua Yeh Ming, 41, was working as a revenue strategy leader in the hospitality industry when she realized that artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools were rapidly reshaping operations. Wanting to take advantage of these tools, she enrolled in NTUC LearningHub’s Agentic AI for Business Process Workflow Automation course.
Now the head of revenue and strategy for the education division, Chua is applying what she learned to optimize enrollment workflows. By combining business process management principles with AI tools, she identified manual steps that could be automated. We also leveraged ChatGPT to support communication and content tasks, reducing turnaround times and increasing efficiency.
At NTUC LearningHub, AI is treated as a language that learners can learn. At the same time, human skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, judgment, and decision-making are equally important. Together, these capabilities empower mid-career professionals like Chua to adapt, take on new roles, and produce stronger results.
Enhance decision making and communication
The Agentic AI for Business Process Workflow Automation course combines theory with hands-on learning of tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Power Automate. These tools helped Chua connect concepts to real-world work scenarios. However, she stressed that tools alone are not enough.
“The greatest value comes from knowing what to optimize, not just using the tools,” she said.
This course went beyond technical knowledge and strengthened her approach to problem solving. “Learning how to break down processes, identify inefficiencies, and apply automation tools has helped me think more systematically,” she said.
Chua also uses AI to adjust the tone of messages to ensure communications are clear and properly tailored to different audiences.
A believer in continuous learning, Chua plans to deepen her expertise in workflow automation and AI integration. “I want to explore more advanced AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation in organizations,” she added.
