WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature that will let users generate an image of themselves using Meta AI, requiring them to take a selfie and write a prompt describing the mood and context of the photo.
WABetaInfo has spotted an in-development feature in WhatsApp beta version 2.24.14.13 for Android, and as per the report, the AI-generated selfie feature is not available yet but is expected to arrive in a future update.
Meta AI โ Imagine Me
According to screenshots shared by WABetaInfo, users need to take a series of photos, which Meta AI will analyze and generate an AI image. Users can delete these setup photos at any time from Meta AI settings.

To generate an AI image, users can type “Imagine me” in Meta AI chat, or use “@Meta AI imagine me” in other chats. Meta AI reportedly cannot read other messages, and the generated image will be shared in the conversation, protecting users' privacy.
It is worth noting that this feature is optional and users have to opt in. If you want to enable this feature, you will first need to go to settings and take a setup photo.
