Vertiv launches AI-powered predictive maintenance service

Machine Learning

Vertiv today announced the launch of Vertiv™ Next Predict, an AI-powered managed service that fundamentally transforms data center maintenance. The service goes beyond traditional time-based, reactive models to industrialize operations by analyzing asset behavior before risks emerge. Vertiv Next Predict is the latest advancement in Vertiv’s unified AI infrastructure portfolio, designed to deliver predictive intelligence across power, cooling, and IT systems, creating a unified and resilient foundation for AI-driven data centers.

As AI workloads reshape the data center landscape, facilities will need increased visibility and control across their critical infrastructure to maintain operational continuity and performance at scale. Implementing advanced analytics and predictive maintenance strategies can help organizations address these challenges and maintain consistent performance across distributed environments.

said Ryan Jarvis, vice president of Vertiv’s Global Services Business Unit. “Vertiv Next Predict helps free up data center uptime, moving maintenance from traditional calendar-based routines to a proactive, data-driven strategy. We move from assumptions to informed decision-making by continuously monitoring equipment health and enabling us to mitigate risks before operations are impacted.”

Vertiv Next Predict leverages AI-based anomaly detection to continuously analyze operating conditions and identify deviations from expected behavior at an early stage. It also leverages predictive algorithms to assess potential operational impacts, determine risk, and prioritize responses. Root cause analysis then isolates the contributing factors to support efficient and targeted resolution. Based on system data and the specific operational context, prescriptive actions are defined and executed, and corrective actions are performed by qualified Vertiv™ service personnel.

Designed with versatility and future growth in mind, Vertiv™ Next Predict currently supports the wide and expanding Vertiv™ power and cooling platform, including battery energy storage solutions (BESS) and liquid cooling components. More importantly, the service is designed with extensibility in mind to enable seamless integration with future data center technologies as part of an integrated grid-to-chip service architecture. This forward-looking approach means you can deploy Vertiv Next Predict today, knowing your infrastructure can evolve with your needs.
