YouTube has been developing several new features and policies to improve user experience. The Google-owned video streaming platform has released new improvements that allow consumers to determine whether a video was created using AI. Additionally, users will now be able to request the removal of certain AI-generated material through a privacy request.
YouTube appears to be aiming to tackle sensitive subjects such as elections, conflict, public health and misinformation, but these changes will be implemented in the coming months and will require creators to mark AI-generated content.
Additionally, YouTube will add new labels to video players and descriptions to indicate whether content is AI-generated or natural, helping to prevent YouTube users from being misled by AI-generated videos and providing assurance about the nature of the content they are watching.
Videos are not only labeled, but will be removed if they violate our Community Guidelines regardless of their label. This strict approach helps the platform maintain trust and integrity, and protects viewers from potential harm.

Users will be able to request the removal of specific AI-generated content through a privacy request process, and requests will be reviewed and subject to increased scrutiny based on variables such as the content's genre, satire, and characters featured in the film.
Creators who don't comply with the new standards, including disclosure requirements, may face action including content removal, monetization suspension, and disciplinary action.
