97% of UAE residents use AI
In this context, a scientific and technological survey revealed that 97% of UAE residents use artificial intelligence technologies and applications in various aspects of their daily lives.
The UAE continues to demonstrate global leadership in training and adoption of artificial intelligence applications, according to a new study published by KPMG. The study found that UAE residents have a higher awareness of the benefits of AI compared to residents of other countries, with 89% recognizing the benefits of AI compared to the global average of 83%.
The report titled Trust, attitudes and use of artificial intelligence According to a report published by KPMG in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, around 97% of UAE residents surveyed reported using AI across their work, academic and personal lives. Additionally, 66% said their organization or company has clear policies governing the use of generative AI tools, reflecting the growing social acceptance of the technology in the UAE.

Abdullah Rashid Al Hammadi is an accomplished journalist from the United Arab Emirates with over 45 years of experience in Arabic and English media. He is currently the Abu Dhabi bureau chief for Gulf News. Mr. Al Hammadi studied Information Systems Technology at the University of Virginia and completed journalism training with Reuters News Agency in Cairo and London. While in Washington, D.C., he served as a reporter at Alitihad and became a member of the National Press Club. From 2000 to 2008, he wrote the widely read Dababees column, known for its critical views on social issues. Throughout his career, Mr. Al Hammadi has conducted high-profile interviews with prominent leaders including UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as key Arab figures such as the late Yasser Arafat and former presidents of Yemen and Egypt. He has reported on major historical events such as the Iran-Iraq War, the liberation of Kuwait, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the establishment of the Palestinian Authority. His work continues to shape and influence journalism in the UAE and the wider Arab world.
