A large object being thrown out of the White House window spread over Labor Day weekend. President Donald Trump was asked about it at a press conference Tuesday, and he insisted it had to be AI. Strangely enough, White House staff told Time Magazine that it was a regular maintenance.
The video appears to have been first posted to Instagram on August 31 by an account called Washington Prob.
“One member of our community noticed that some things have been dumped from one of the White House windows today. Are you doing deep Sunday cleaning?” The caption explains, noting that the video was submitted anonymously.
This video has received a huge selection of picks on other sites, including X, Bluesky, Threads, and Tiktok. And then came on a weekend when Americans were already wondering about President Trump's health. Trump's right hand has been black in recent weeks, and his lack of public appearance over the weekend has led to speculation about whether he's on his deathbed or not.
“No, it's probably being generated by AI.”
However, Trump held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to announce that the US Space Command headquarters is moving from Colorado to Alabama. And when he asked the question, Fox News reporter Peter Doucy asked him about the object being thrown out of the White House window.
“There's a video currently circulating online at the White House, where the window opens up on the second floor and someone is throwing a big bag out of the window. Have you seen this?”
Trump said, “No, it's probably generated. In fact, you can't open the windows. Why do you know? They're all armored and bulletproof.” Doocy asked if it was a “fake video.”
“Because I know every window there,” Trump replied. He went on to say that there are “camera here and there,” and that first lady Melania Trump is actually complaining about the fact that she can't open the windows in her residence to get fresh air.
Trump asked Doucy more about the video, and the reporter walked over to show him what it looked like on his phone. The president argued that “these windows are sealed,” and that no one could open them.
“If something is really bad, you just blame the AI.”
Trump appears to be ready to move on to the next question, then appears to blame the traditional media for the video, saying, “That's what they do.” The video was posted to non-traditional media, but it's unlikely that Trump will care about the distinction.
But perhaps the most interesting was Trump's next comment.
“And one of the problems we have with AI is both the good and the bad. If something really bad happens, we just blame the AI,” Trump said.
Trump then expected that he could double the idea and blame future AI scandals.
“But they create things, you know, it works both ways. If something happens, it's really bad, I need to blame the AI. Of course, it's odd to admit it. But Trump is a strange president.
The president then appeared to circumvent him as a baby and talk about a video of a virus that transforms into an adult throughout his life.
“I saw something when I was growing up, ever since I was a baby. I said, 'Who did that?” It's a bit scary to tell you honestly,” he said, “But all those windows are very badly sealed.”

Regular maintenance
What does the video actually portray when it's thrown out the window? According to Time, it wasn't AI. The magazine originally published an article on Tuesday that contained a quote from an unknown White House spokesman.
After Trump made comments about AI at a press conference, Time shuffled the language of the story and preferred Trump's version of events. The article states, “Trump's comments on the virus video came hours after White House officials gave a statement that the video's content was authentic and indicated that the contractor was doing “regular maintenance.” ”
It appears that the White House spokesman has done more than that. Implication The video was real. If construction work is carried out while the president is gone, it would be a completely reasonable explanation of what is going on there.
Non-political correct
The rest of the press conference on Tuesday was also very strange. This includes the moment Doucy asks Trump if he saw reports that he was dying. The president initially denied watching chatter before quickly correcting himself.
The president, who declared English as the official US language, also tried to talk about his tariff policy, saying that it was “non-political” to be found in his favor. Of course, the term is politically wrong.
Trump may not be on his deathbed. But his brain is very clearly broken.
