Trend Micro is preparing to launch a new suite of security features designed to help organizations manage the risks posed by artificial intelligence applications. The Trend Vision One AI security package aims to provide centralized exposure management and analysis across the entire lifecycle of AI applications.
AI risks identified
Organizations are rapidly adopting AI technology, but many lack the tools to monitor how their AI systems process information, make decisions, and potentially become targets for cyber attackers. Existing security tools to protect endpoints, networks, and cloud resources were not developed to address AI-specific vulnerabilities such as prompt injection and data poisoning.
The new package aims to fill these gaps by supporting protection from early model development to production use. This expanded coverage is aimed at providing increased oversight for organizations as AI becomes increasingly integrated into business processes.
Technical features
The AI Security package includes AI Application Security. This is supported by an AI scanner that continuously monitors models for vulnerabilities and can deploy automated guardrails to minimize risks. The solution forms a “closed-loop” system designed to detect, assess, and respond to threats specific to AI applications.
The company is also introducing new capabilities across its existing portfolio, including agentless vulnerability scanning for multi-cloud environments, additional support for Kubernetes, and real-time malware detection on cloud storage systems. These enhancements are intended to reduce manual overhead and ensure consistent policy enforcement during software development and deployment.

Despite growing awareness of AI-related risks, only 37% of organizations test the security of their AI systems before deployment, according to a World Economic Forum report. The report highlights that the average data breach currently costs organizations over US$4.4 million.
Security experts emphasize the importance of comprehensive governance and continuous monitoring as companies implement AI-based solutions across their operations.

This package is equipped with an AI security blueprint and risk insights dashboard to visualize your risk posture and guide your compliance efforts throughout your AI development pipeline. It provides real-time monitoring, threat alerts, and full-stack risk visibility to enhance collaboration between development and security teams.
Other updates include a Kubernetes-based cloud architecture for scalable file security operations and integration with native log sources to improve incident detection and response capabilities. Zero Trust security features extend to generative AI tools, giving administrators granular control over employee access and potential data leaks.
