Topaz Labs recently released a new version of their AI video enhancing tool, Video AI Pro, designed specifically for small studios and content creators. The Pro version can work offline, use multiple GPUs for up to 10x faster speeds, and also denoises, stabilizes, and upscales footage to up to 24K resolution. Let's take a closer look.
Topaz Labs is an American company that develops AI photo and video enhancement software for photographers, filmmakers, and content creators. The company focuses on three main image improvements: upscaling, sharpening, and noise reduction for photos and videos. Topaz Labs claims to have over 1.5 million customers worldwide, including big names like Amazon, IMAX, NASA, Netflix, Nike, and The Sphere.
Topaz Labs Video AI Pro – Features
Topaz Labs Video AI Pro is a standalone application for Windows and macOS computers. It also supports plug-ins for DaVinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects. Video AI Pro can ingest a variety of formats, including Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHR, H.264/5, VP9, AV1, OpenEXR, PNG, JPG, TIFF, DPX, and Cineform. It supports LOG footage to which you can apply LUTs.

Once your footage is loaded inside Video AI Pro, it can perform three basic operations: upscaling, noise reduction, and stabilization.
When it comes to noise removal, the company says that “Trained on millions of video frames, Video AI Pro intelligently understands the difference between noise and detail.”
This stabilization technique is appealing because it doesn't crop the image like most tools do, but it does restore image edges and “restore detail lost due to unwanted camera motion, and also reduces blur caused by motion and slow shutter speeds.”

Finally, Video AI Pro can upscale 4K/8K footage in multiple resolutions up to 24K. With devices like Apple Vision Pro needing to bring more content to high definition, this AI upscaling technology is much welcomed.
However, this “Pro” version offers several other benefits. First, it lets you work locally, which is essential for sensitive projects. Second, it supports multi-GPU rendering, which can boost rendering speeds up to 10x depending on the number and speed of your GPUs. Once you're done working on your footage, Video AI Pro can export in YUV 4:2:0, 4:2:2, or 4:4:4 at up to 16-bit per channel RGB. Finally, the Pro version includes a full commercial license.

Price and availability
Topaz Labs Video AI Pro is available now and starts at $1,099 per user per year, with a Video AI Pro Teams subscription offering multiple seats for teams of 5-10 creators priced at $4,999.
