Topaz Labs, known for AI-powered photo editing tools such as Photo AI 3 and Gigapixel 7, has released Video AI Pro, which the company calls “the first commercially available AI video enhancement tool for enterprise creative teams.”
Offered in three tiers, Video AI Pro is built on Topaz Labs' Video AI platform and uses proprietary artificial intelligence to upscale videos up to 16K resolution, remove noise from footage, and create new frames to create slow-motion footage from normal speed videos. Video AI can also recognize specific faces in videos, match footage from cameras operating at different frame rates, and stabilize footage based on object detection.
Video AI Pro goes even further and can take advantage of multiple GPUs, allowing you to upscale videos to 24K resolution.
“Video AI Pro builds on Topaz Labs' pioneering proprietary Video AI tools, trained on millions of frames to upscale, stabilize, and denoise content,” Topaz Labs explained. “This new solution specifically maximizes throughput on multi-GPU systems with graphics processors from AMD, Apple, Intel, and Nvidia, delivering speeds that are 2x, 3x, 10x or more faster. Combining unmatched enhancements with unmatched speed, Video AI Pro fills a gap in the growing demand for enterprise-ready AI tools not currently available on the market.”
Especially important for creative professionals, Video AI Pro uses AI models that perform local processing completely offline, so media is always safe. Additionally, content edits made with Video AI Pro are not used to train AI models and never leave an organization's servers. The platform can be deployed on-site with a local render farm or run within an AWS Outpost, which Topaz Labs says promises “the best combination of security and access.” Additionally, users can render in parallel, sending different files to each available GPU or splitting a single file across multiple GPUs to speed up work.
Video AI Pro is designed for high-end film production, allowing organizations to license its output for use in cinemas, premium streaming services, and broadcast television, and customers retain full ownership of all media processed through the AI platform.
“With concerns that AI will threaten creatives across the entertainment industry, enhancement teams need tools that enable them to improve quality in ways not previously possible and stay true to the studio's original artistic vision,” said Eric Yang, CEO of Topaz Labs.
“Since creating our first AI model in 2018, Topaz Labs has been committed to our belief that AI should enhance creators' existing work, not replace it. Video AI Pro enables large post-production teams to enhance and refine feature films faster and more effectively than ever before,” Yang continued.
Video AI starts at $299, while Video AI Pro is priced much higher. A separate entry-level package starts at $1,099. For organizations with 5-10 users, the price jumps to $4,999, which adds administration and permission controls. Larger teams can work directly with Topaz Labs to develop custom models and workflows. Pricing is based on your specific requirements.
