“Physical” applications of AI still years away: Strategist

AI Video & Visuals

Big Tech stocks have fallen over the past few days as investors have been pulling out of the sector and investing in smaller caps.

Ivana Delevska, founder and CIO of Spear Invest, joins Market Domination to provide insight on the current performance of the Technology sector (XLK) and what investors should keep in mind going forward.

De Revesca argues that Big Tech isn't going anywhere because it will require significant investment to truly implement AI in these businesses.

She cited products from Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Meta Platforms (META) as examples:

“We're probably two to three years away from seeing real-world applications. We're already seeing early results in customer service and productivity tools that are really leveraging large-scale language models, but the next level, the next layer of opportunity, is in the physical domains of robotics and autonomous driving, which will take a little longer to materialize. But we need to invest in compute now to make these applications even remotely viable.”
