Indian outsourcing provider Wipro has deployed its workforce of around 25,000 employees to artificial intelligence, bloomberg report.
The spending over the next three years will bring together 30,000 professionals in data analytics and AI from four business areas around the world using Wipro’s technology and advisory ecosystem.
In a statement, the company said it will leverage its capabilities across cloud and partnerships, data, analytics, AI, design, consulting and cybersecurity to develop new solutions and embed AI into all processes and practices.
After ChatGPT shocked the industry by helping democratize generative AI capabilities, companies around the world, including India, are using technology to stay relevant.
“We anticipate a fundamental shift in every industry in the coming years with the advent of generative AI,” Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte said in a statement.
Wipro also said it will accelerate investments in cutting-edge startups, such as the GenAI Seed Accelerator Program, which provides selected GenAI-focused startups with the training they need to be enterprise-ready.
