The AI video generator is spending a bit of a moment. Whether it's Google's VEO 3, with audio integration, or something like the Kling 2, or the runway that makes movie-quality clips easy to create, technology has come a long way.
But there are some small underdogs in the AI video world, along with famous companies competing for the best AI video generators. The one that caught my eye recently was High Low Eye.
Users continued to watch videos generated by the models appearing on sites like X, and users flaunted an impressive generation. This is not the first time I've talked about Horifish. In fact, we Major update revealed in the second half of last year.
However, AI companies have returned to people's minds with the latest update called The Director Model. This version, like some of the other big AI video generators, allows you to enter camera angles and movements to provide the video a little more action.

This new update will give Hailuo users a little more control over what they're producing. This allows you to change the camera angle at the prompt in two ways: Users can choose from pre-selection options such as “downward tilt” or “correct walking” or come up with their own.
Like most video generation experiences, creativity can reward or hinder you. Sometimes, complicating camera angle suggestions can either confuse the experience completely or ignore the model completely.
By focusing on the options I was given, I found more success when using Hailuo.
You can choose to create a video from scratch using a text prompt or use an existing image to edit. You can also add someone's image and ask them to drop it into the scene.

This option comes with a very long list of warnings about the use of that image, and follows the same concerns associated with deepfakes on any platform.
All of this technology can be found at competitors such as Runway, Kling, and Higgsfield. One of the main advantages of Haliuo is how good the free version of the software is.
The load times are slightly slower and credits are still limited, but that limit is pretty high. You can generate 20-30 videos before approaching the end of your credit limit, and there is a way to get more without signing up for a paid plan.
However, with the free plan, images and videos have watermarks visible. It is something to keep in mind if you plan to use these videos commercially.
How to use Hailoo

Once you have created an account on Hailuai, you will land on the home screen. At this point, you'll need about 1,000 credits. The video only costs about 30 credits and one image.
On the left, there are four ways to interact with the AI generation. This particular activity requires a “Create a Video” section.
Here you can choose to turn the image into a video, turn it into a video into a text, or enter a reference to the subject (image of the person you are editing).
The most important thing here is to change the model at the bottom to T2V-01-Director and add a change to the camera angle. Next, click on the small camera in the bottom right corner to select the camera angle style for your video.
Once it's all selected, enter the prompt and go to the bottom right[生成]Click the button.
It takes a few minutes to generate, but compared to other free video generators it's actually quite fast.
Conclusion
This isn't the best AI video generator on the market, but given how good the free plans are (and how affordable the paid plans are), it's a great choice for those who don't want to kick out a ton of money to generate some videos.
Hailuo offers all the same features found on major models. You can also ask Deepseek for prompt assistance directly from the Hailouai app.
With such a tough competition in this market, Hailoai works surprisingly well with Openai and Gemini and offers the ability to add sound (at the expense of more credits, of course).
