The new robotic system uses AI to analyze water quality

Applications of AI

The robotic system is categorized as water-drinking using AI and decision-making, providing exploration of the Earth and planets.

New research on Robot Learning We have introduced a robotic system that combines machine learning and decision-making to analyze water samples. This approach allows robots to detect, classify, and potentially distinguish other planets of drinking water on Earth.

Researchers used a hybrid method that integrates a random forest classifier and topcys decision-making technique trained on Kaggle's water quality and portable dataset. By applying the data balancing technique, the classification accuracy increased from 69% to 73%.

The robot prototype includes thrusters, motors, solar power generation, sensors, and robotic arms for sample collection. Water samples are tested in real time, and onboard models classify them as being able to drink.

The system has the potential for rapid crisis response, sustainable water management, and planetary exploration, but challenges remain with sensor accuracy, data noise, and scalability. Researchers emphasize that further testing is necessary before actual development.
