The big thing to do here is a new version of Siri. This is essentially a redo of Apple’s AI strategy. They launched it in 2024, flaunting Apple’s intelligence and saying that this new version of Siri would come out with new high-tech features and function as a chatbot much like what we’ve seen with Chat GBT, Claude, and Google Gemini, but all of them failed. So there’s an ongoing debate on Wall Street about whether Apple is woefully behind in the AI space. I’ve never really bought into that because personally I felt they were a hardware company and people would just access it from elsewhere, but in terms of the overall narrative, they’re trying to sort it out here. And they’re going to launch a new version of Siri that actually delivers on some of the promises we’ve seen in 2024.

So, is this conference all about AI? Dan, is there anything else to note?

Yes, of course. So the AI aspect is going to be a driving force for everyone, right? But WWDC is a developer conference for all of Apple’s software. Then, updates will be made to iOS, Mac OS, and iPad OS. Get iPad OS and iOS. Eh 27. Well, that’s the version of the software that runs on the iPad and iPhone, respectively. Well, I’m not expecting much in terms of new design changes and such. It turns out that iOS 26 and iPad OS 26 feature a liquid glass Ah-style interface. This is likely to be an internal change, such as a performance improvement. They usually follow a rhythm with a new look or new style here and there, followed by more performance-oriented updates the following year. So let’s take a look at that as well. According to Oh, this is also the Bloomberg mark. Well, there will be some changes underneath that we haven’t seen at all that could set up iOS for the foldable iPhones we’re expecting in September. So it’ll be interesting to see that. Oh, don’t expect any hardware. This is not a hardware event. There’s usually one or two pieces here and there from time to time, but I really think the biggest star of the show is going to be the AI.
