At last week’s Beyond Games: Transmedia Summit, part of the ground-breaking event PG Connects London 2026, BAFTA, Emmy and Webby Award-winning director Martin Percy led a provocative session titled ‘Is AI the new culture war?’ We explore how generative AI is reshaping the creative industries and why it’s such a divisive topic.
At the end of his talk, Martin Percy invited attendees to a free follow-up workshop, “AI Fundamentals: Thrills or Chills?” It will be held this Thursday. This is a two-hour interactive Zoom session that encourages open discussion about what AI actually means for creators, organizations, and society. Designed as a participatory workshop rather than a lecture, it aims to introduce ideas, clarify perspectives, ask tough questions, and help people gather informed opinions about AI, whether they’re excited, anxious, skeptical, or all three.
