- President Joe Biden launched his re-election campaign Tuesday morning
- The RNC has released an AI-generated video containing Biden’s winning vision.
- It shows wars abroad and hordes of illegal immigrants invading the United States
Republicans on Tuesday used an AI-generated video to portray Biden’s second presidency as a time of war, dysfunction and civil unrest.
Within minutes of President Joe Biden announcing that he would be running for the next term while yelling “Let’s get this job done,” the Republican National Committee explained what it would look like. bottom.
That attack ad asks, “What if the weakest president ever gets re-elected?” before answering the question.
Cut to images of fighter planes in the sky, explosions in foreign cities, warships at sea.
Images of burning buildings and troops in the streets give way to protesters marching under the flag of the People’s Republic of China.
This video emphasizes the point: “What happens when international tensions rise?”
Now back to the topic. “What if the financial system collapses?”
The video shows a storefront boarding into what appeared to be an empty bank shell, last seen during the social justice protests that swept the 2020s.
“What if our borders are gone?” he continues. “What if crime gets worse?”
It all comes with images that look like they were caused by Tucker Carlson’s worst nightmares, or in this case, imagined by AI.
Crowds gather around the Golden Gate Bridge. The National Guard lines the streets.
Biden’s announcement sets up the possibility of a rerun of the 2020 election. With about 18 months left, Donald Trump is in a polling position to secure the Republican nomination.
He quickly attacked Biden’s record on Tuesday, hitting some of the same themes as the video.
“American homes are being devastated by the worst inflation in half a century, thanks to Joe Biden’s socialist spending woes. Banks are failing,” he said.
“Our currency is crashing and the dollar will soon cease to be the standard of the world. This will be our biggest defeat in over 200 years.”
He also criticized Biden’s leadership on the world stage.
“Russia is allied with China. Iran is days away from a nuclear bomb, unthinkable,” he said.
“Ukraine has been devastated by an invasion that would never have happened had I been president, and Joe Biden has brought us to the brink of World War III.”
If Republicans want to portray a dystopian, war-torn future under Biden, Democrats will do the same for Trump and how he will hold on to power after losing the 2020 election. and remind voters of how his supporters rampaged in the US Capitol.
In his re-election announcement video, Biden didn’t have to use artificial intelligence to make his case.
This included live footage of a cloud of tear gas covering the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and Trump supporters fighting police officers.
The two frontrunners face challenges as they battle for a second term.
A poll last week by the Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs found that only half, or 47%, of Democrats believe Biden should run again.
An NBC poll found that 48% of those not wanting to run for Biden cite age as the “main” reason.
Trump also faces a series of challenges in his re-election campaign.
37% of Republicans say they don’t want him running.
88% of Democrats oppose Trump and 86% of Republicans oppose Biden.
After Mr. Biden’s announcement, conservatives stepped up their attacks on Mr. Biden.
“Why on earth would President Biden run for re-election? He was an unmitigated disaster at work,” said Jenny Beth Martin, chairman of the Tea Party Patriot’s Civic Foundation.
Whether it is the worst inflation in his 40 years. Continued school closures. An out-of-control and worsening border crisis. Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco. Lawless administrative actions such as vaccine mandates, moratoriums on evictions, and student loan repayment fraud. Or on many other issues, Biden’s policies hurt America and continue to hurt America.
House GOP Speaker Ellis Stefanik added, “Our country won’t support Joe Biden’s disastrous policies of crushing hardworking American families for another four years.”
She expressed her support for Trump, whom she endorsed last year.
“More than ever, our country needs Donald J. Trump, and I will do everything in my power to elect him President of the United States in 2024.”
