When it comes to AI video generation, Open's unreleased Sora model has stolen the spotlight from strong rivals Runway and Pika so far this year.
However, a new challenger has appeared. Krea AI is a little-known San Francisco generative AI media startup co-founded by Victor Perez and Diego Rodriguez. Public beta planned for late 2023.

How Krea videos work
Pika and Runway work primarily by adding motion to regions of still images uploaded by users, converting text prompt descriptions into entirely new videos, and converting pre-shot videos into new styles.
