With the launch of the Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi camera, Reolink has announced its latest advancement in wireless home security, adding bonuses for locally processed AI searches.
The Elite Floodlight camera includes a dual-lens 8MP setup and dual image stitching technology, capturing 4K UHD resolution footage with a vast 180° field of view, and incorporates floodlight and sirens.
The footage can be stored locally on the camera's microSD card, relinked NVR or Home Hub Serie, and, if it is, on the local server. The camera itself includes a dual-band WiFi 6 connection and is weather resistant with an IP66 rating.

The local AI model calling Reoneura runs entirely on the device for privacy and doesn't have continuous subscription fees as seen by other smart camera manufacturers, including Ring. The AI search feature brings the ability for users to search for footage using simple, descriptive phrases such as “Man in White Parker” and “Black Pickup Truck” and provide immediate results, avoiding hours of scrolling through playback to find events.

According to Reolink, AI can make motion detection powerful, distinguishing between people, vehicles and animals to reduce false positives, and have the option to set up virtual fences and zones to further limit those false alarms. Identified events are passed along with real-time app alerts to trigger customizable events such as siren configuration and message playback.
The built-in floodlight offers adaptive options, such as options to scale brightness up to 3,000 lumens, including the option to set the warmth of the light. You can also use one of three smart lighting modes. Adjust the lighting Provides manual brightness and timing control, From dusk to dawn Use a light sensor to determine ambient lights for automation, Motion Trigger When a person, vehicle, or animal is detected, activates the light along with the siren (up to 105dB).
For Smart Home Lovers, you can also add Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi to Google Home. You have the option to check what's going on with your GoogleNest Hub or Chromecast-enabled TV.
The Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi camera is available at retail prices starting at $299.99 from Reolink.com and Amazon.
