Actor Ranveer Singh has reacted to the viral deepfake video. The AI-generated clip showed the actor supporting a political party. Originally, this video was from Ranveer's recent visit to Varanasi where he shared his divine experience of visiting Varanasi.
Reacting to X's viral video, Ranveer wrote, “Deepfake se bacho dostonn (Beware of deepfakes, friends).”
Ranveer Singh was in Varanasi for a fashion show along with Kriti Sanon. Ahead of the event, the two actors visited Vishwanath temple and shared a spiritual experience. A video talking about Ranveer's visit had been morphed so that Ranveer can be heard promoting his political party ahead of the 2024 Sabah elections.
Earlier, Aamir Khan also fell prey to deepfakes, with a video purporting to promote a political party going viral.
The 59-year-old actor had also lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police, claiming the video as “fake”. This was reportedly an AI-generated video of the actor from his show 'Satyameva Jayate', which he hosted around 10 years ago.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer was last seen in 'Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahaani'. He will be taking over the baton of 'Don' after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The film stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady. The film will be directed by Farhan Akhtar.
