Amid the growing buzz surrounding Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, a new video has been ‘leaked’ online.A video featuring blurred footage of what is said to be a battle scene from the upcoming blockbuster has started going viral among fan handles on social media. In the short clip, Ranbir Kapoor, dressed as the royal avatar Lord Ram, is seen drawing a bow and arrow towards a mystical creature, before unleashing an attack that causes a massive explosion. The dramatic sequence quickly gained attention online, with several accounts claiming it was genuine footage from unreleased footage shown to a select few audiences prior to the film’s release. According to an online post, the clip was allegedly shot during a recent fan showcase and promotional event organized by the makers ahead of the film’s release. However, it should be noted that the authenticity of the footage remains unconfirmed. As soon as this video went viral, many fans began to question whether it was actually from the movie. Multiple social media users suggested that the clip may have been created using AI prompts. Some argued that the quality of the footage made it impossible to tell whether it came from the Ramayana or was digitally generated. However, a video later posted by a fan handle seemed to confirm that the video was not a leak but an AI-generated video. In another post, a content creator took his handle and shared that he and a few others were shown some new unseen footage of ‘Ramayana’. In a unique new promotional strategy, producer Namit Malhotra has been hosting screenings for fans ahead of the film’s release. He said, “Besides Rama, I was shown additional footage, but I cannot speak about that. I can say that I got to see all these figures there, along with Shri Ram, Ma Sita and Laxman Ji.”He also added that “Rama’s look was 3D” and went on to say that the video featured “immersive 3D” where the background changes based on perspective. The incident comes amid heightened anticipation for the ambitious mythological epic, which is scheduled to release on Diwali in 2026. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role and also features Sai Pallavi, Yash and Sunny Deol. The filmmakers have so far released only one official look of Lord Rama. The buzz is that the makers of the film are gearing up to release more of these first looks for the film’s global release later this year.
