Lucknow: In a visionary push for digital governance and urban reform, Sarojninagar MLA Rajeshwarsin on Thursday submitted a comprehensive proposal to Prime Minister Yogiaditinas, advocating for the implementation of an artificial intelligence-based intelligent traffic management system (AI-ITM) in Lucknow.The highlighted proposals on issues, including over 280,000 registered vehicles, Rs 10,000 in annual productivity losses and 33% increase in emissions, outline how AI can revolutionize traffic efficiency, emergency response and environmental health. Rajeshwar Singh emphasized that AI-enabled transport systems used in cities such as Bengaluru, Surat and Noida can reduce travel time by up to 25%, reduce fuel consumption by 20%, and improve ambulance response time by 40%. The proposed pilot zone includes important intersections along Hazratganj – Parivartan Chowk, Charbagh – Alambagh, Shaheed Path, Amamibad and NH-27. The proposal also calls for a task force consisting of UP Police, LDA and technical agencies such as IIT Kanpur and C-DAC. Furthermore, Rajeshwar Singh reiterated his proposal to establish the “Uttar Pradesh Artificial Intelligence Committee” to guide the long-term integration of AI in governance. This initiative is consistent with the CM's Smart City Vision and promises safer roads, cleaner air and faster emergency services. Lucknow is deployed as a model for smart urban mobility.
