pcl. in collaboration with its partner LRMG Africa successfully hosted this year's annual Ghana Business Conference, themed “AI as a Driver of Business Growth: A Key Imperative for Decision Makers”. Held at Ghana's prestigious Accra City Hotel, the event brought together thought leaders, industry experts and business executives to explore the transformative potential of AI to drive business growth and development.
The conference highlighted the pivotal role of AI-driven learning and its profound impact on business growth and development. The event provided a platform for attendees to gain actionable insights and engage in inspiring discussions on leveraging AI for competitive advantage.

Guest speaker Abel Romotei Deitei, Chief Information Officer, GCB Bank, highlighted the importance of embracing AI to drive business innovation and sustainability. He said, “AI is a game changer and the integration of AI into business processes will determine business success and the smartest companies will survive.” Other notable speakers also participated in an interactive panel discussion to speak about the transformative power of AI.
Kojo Amissah, Principal Executive and Principal Consultant at CITAM, spoke about the realities that businesses face with AI. He said, “AI will eliminate a significant number of jobs. Organizations will have to reduce headcount to automate,” and noted, “AI will create new job opportunities, but these roles require human intervention to succeed. Hence, individuals will need to embrace a culture of continuous learning and upskill to stay relevant.”

Meanwhile, Anita Arthur, Head of Human Resources at CFAO Ghana Plc, said, “People should stop resisting AI and start embracing it. AI is a tool that complements the workforce. It analyses large amounts of data to help humans make informed decisions, while employees can focus more on complex problem-solving tasks and critical thinking.”
During an engaging panel discussion, Mr. Kwadwo Ntim, General Manager, Technology and Operations/CIO, Ghana Interbank Payment Settlement System (GhIPSS), said, “The value of AI to enterprises is significant and organisations are encouraged to look at AI in terms of its value to their business and align their business processes, goals and objectives to improve productivity and work efficiency.”

Another panelist, Esi Mirba Wilson, Director of Human Resources and Transformation at the Consolidated Bank of Ghana (CBG), said, “AI will drive business growth by generating and analysing more data, providing more insight into customer journeys and persona development. This will also enable organisations to partner with other businesses, which will lead to business growth.”

The event fostered meaningful connections and collaborations through dedicated networking sessions, allowing attendees to interact with peers and industry leaders, fostering an environment of learning and partnerships.
pcl.'s commitment to pioneering innovative solutions was evident throughout the conference, underscoring its dedication to harnessing the power of AI to help businesses succeed in an increasingly digital environment.
“We are excited about the success of this year's business conference. The insights shared and connections made here will undoubtedly drive business growth and innovation,” said Paul Aim, Partner at Digital Learning. “We look forward to continuing our mission of supporting companies leveraging AI for sustainable growth and development.”
