Northslope, an applied AI company purpose-built for the Palantir operating system, has raised $22 million in Series A funding to extend its forward deployment engineering model and expand its Palantir native AI application platform.
The Denver-based company said the round comes after a “breakout year,” during which it delivered results for production customers across multiple industries and grew revenue nearly seven times. Northslope positions its platform as an alternative to general-purpose enterprise SaaS, arguing that large organizations increasingly require software customized to their missions rather than standardized tools that bring companies closer to the same operating model.
Founded by former Palantir Forward-Deployed engineers, Northslope develops a suite of connected AI applications that provide the precision and control of custom software while maintaining the speed, cost structure, and maintainability typically associated with enterprise SaaS. The company highlighted use cases across healthcare, aerospace manufacturing, and energy, including tools for early detection of cancer, improving rocket manufacturing and flight operations, and increasing renewable power production.
The Series A was co-led by Friends & Family Capital, founded by former Palantir CFO Colin Anderson, and Goldcrest Capital, founded by Palantir’s first independent director, Adam Ross. Additional investors include Fifth Down Capital, Revlon Capital, and Palantir’s alumni network, including co-founders, directors, and leaders of product and forward deployment engineering.
The funding comes on the heels of Northslope being named Palantir’s first and only Vanguard: Elite Partner, a designation that the company says reflects its effectiveness in delivering outcomes for customers on Palantir’s platform. Northslope said its software runs on Palantir AIP, Foundry and Gotham, and it operates hub offices in New York, London and Denver.
Main quotation:
“Organizations that change the world don’t operate on off-the-shelf software. They can’t afford to operate like other organizations. Northslope puts mission-specific software within reach for organizations that are willing to stop making compromises. Our customers can focus on what only they can do. We take care of the rest.”
Founder and CEO Bill Ward, former Palantir forward deployment engineer
“The enterprise technology stack for the AI era will be the Palantir operating system and North Slope’s mission-specific applications. North Slope is a pioneer in this category, bringing AI into complex enterprise operating environments to deliver meaningful outcomes for today’s customers. The winners in enterprise AI will be those who know how to deploy it deep within the world’s most important institutions. North Slope is already doing this today.”
Colin Anderson, founding partner of Friends & Family Capital and former CFO of Palantir
“The next Palantir will be built on Palantir. Northslope is creating a new enterprise software category for the world’s AI operating systems. For decades, organizations have had to choose between expensive, multi-year builds and general-purpose SaaS that commoditize and eliminate competitive advantage. We’re confident that Northslope’s mission-specific AI applications will deliver better outcomes for customers and, in the process, create two different 1s. We’re watching it get replaced by a trillion-dollar industry.”
Adam Roth, founding partner of Goldcrest Capital and former Palantir board member
“Northslope enables our customers to win with Palantir AIP and dominate their industry. We are extremely bullish on Northslope’s vision and execution, and are proud to serve the West’s most important institutions together.”
