The latest UI 8 beta build is clearly sneaking in with a nifty upgrade to Samsung's existing AI features, reducing background noise from audio and video faster and easier than ever before.
One of the outstanding tweaks in one UI 8 beta is the smarter audio eraser. Tipster Ice Universe (via Sammobile) says that you can remove background noise from the video you're watching without having to enter edit mode first.
Tipster previously shared a clip showing active features, but has since been removed.
According to the leak, one UI 8 is set to deploy the next generation of real-time audio erasers when hit on a stable channel. Instead of editing the video to clean up background noise, this new feature handles live while you're watching.
One tap cleanup
Previously, you had to go through the Galaxy AI button and fiddle another audio eraser screen. In one UI 8, simply tap the audio eraser icon at the bottom right while watching the video in the Gallery app and you'll be able to remove background noise. In short, this update makes background noise easier.
Audio Eraser debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S25 and one UI 7, part of the Galaxy AI Toolkit. This isn't just the latest and greatest Samsung phones. The tech giant has also been deployed to older flagships through updates.
This feature allows you to manually tap on the AI to downtone down the background noise in your video, making your main vocals and music stand out loud and clearly.
However, currently, Audio Eraser only works in the Gallery app. Nevertheless, one UI 8.0 would likely be available for use with other Samsung apps such as memos and audio recorders.
Samsung's upcoming folding may get the first dib
The souped version of this feature is tilted to land first on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
It is worth noting that Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the expected audio eraser upgrade. Still, the leak shows that sharpening the Galaxy AI tools will double the company.
