AI Basics

June 12, 2025: Omness Education, A French higher education group with 15 schools and 40,000 students has launched an intelligence lab at ECE's engineering school. This AI-driven platform is a key part of Omness's strategic transformation, aiming to integrate artificial intelligence into all aspects of student learning and faculty tools. The group aims to become a pioneer in private higher education in France by 2027.

Intelligence Lab provides a cutting-edge platform for AI education, research and innovation

Intelligence Lab is designed to accelerate Omnes Education's transformation through hands-on, interdisciplinary AI engagement. It features a high-performance graphics processing unit (GPU) cluster that allows large-scale calculations, allowing students to gain real-world experience with basic machine learning and advanced generation AI models. The lab emphasizes ethical and responsible AI development, promoting sovereign, resource-efficient, open source solutions.

AI is currently at the heart of ECE's academic products, preparing students to become leaders in generation and agent-based AI. The lab has formed R&D partnerships with industry leaders such as Renault, Orano, MBDA, Ametra Engineering and IRT Systemx, a Parisa Clay-based technology research lab, along with international cooperation with Ivory Coast Kaydan Groupe. These partnerships provide students with access to real-world AI projects, cutting-edge technical challenges, and a professional environment.

An innovative example of the lab is the creation of student-developed AI avatars for the Dean of ECE. The prototype will be deployed to all OMNES schools starting from the 2026-2027 grade, as it can answer applicant questions 24/7 in any language, and will showcase the group's commitment to strengthening educational services through AI.

Omnes Education is to personalize student learning and employment with a comprehensive AI integration strategy

From the 2025-2026 academic year, all 40,000 OMNES students will receive training in AI fundamentals and their specialized applications, offering over 50 hours of online courses covering AI fundamentals, cybersecurity, data literacy and ethics. The expanded TechAway program provides over 150 hours of advanced AI content, including rapid engineering, data science, no-code tools, programming, cybersecurity, and more, and prepares students to adapt to AI-driven career changes.

To support personalized learning, Omnes Education also introduces “Boost'ia,” a virtual learning coach. This AI assistant provides customized course summary, adaptive exercises and explanations based on faculty approved content. Additionally, OMNES Education will launch “IA Battles.” In an interdisciplinary AI project, students in two cycles collaborate on real-world challenges, such as using AI to expand brand reach or impact global diplomacy.

Omnes Education expands its presence in India to promote academic and AI collaboration

Built in a successful office in Bangalore, Omnes Education recently opened its second office in New Delhi to strengthen its partnership with academic institutions and industry stakeholders in India. The group focused on AI education is consistent with India's growing technology sector and opens opportunities for collaborative research, student exchanges and joint AI projects between India and France.

“This transformation is built on strong beliefs.
