Nvidia CEO talks about AI replacing human work, it says it will change everyone's work

AI News

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang believes that artificial intelligence will make a difference in all jobs, but it won't lead to the massive unemployment that some experts have warned. Speaking at the Vivatech 2025 event in Paris, Huang dismissed the claims by humanity CEO Dario Amodei.

Huang strongly opposed the prediction, saying that AI certainly changes the way people work, but also opens up new possibilities. “It's already changing my job,” he told reporters, adding that instead of fearing AI, people need to focus on learning how to use it responsibly. He also compares the development of AI with medical research and suggests that it should be done openly, with the opinions of many experts.

This is not the first time Huang has spoken about AI and work. At another major event, the Milken Institute Global Conference, he said that AI will not take people's work directly, but those who understand how to use AI tools may replace those who don't. “Every job is affected and immediately affected,” he said, noting that the actual risk remains in a changing work environment.

Huang explained that today a small portion of the world's population (about 30 million people actually know how to use AI effectively). He believes that as more people acquire these skills, it will become a powerful tool to increase productivity and create new kinds of jobs.

Meanwhile, Amodei remains cautious. In a previous interview with Axios, he warned that the rise of AI could lead to major unemployment in areas such as law, finance, technology and consulting. He even predicted that percentages could halt many new jobs lists as AI will take over most entry-level responsibilities. “The economy can grow rapidly, but 20% of people can finish without work,” Amodei said.

Though views on the impact of AI continue to differ among industry leaders, Huang says instead of worrying about machines taking over, people need to focus on understanding and using AI. According to him, the future of work belongs to people who are not afraid of it, but those who know how to work with this technology.
