MOORES LAB AI expands advisory board of industry luminaries - Latest Technology - EIN Presswire

Moores Institute AI (https://www.mooreslab.ai), a leader in agent AI solutions for silicon engineering, is proud to announce the appointment of two prominent industry experts to its advisory board. Tom Fitzpatricka globally recognized authority on electronic design automation (EDA), and ram shriharshais an experienced machine learning innovator and Apache Spark contributor whose experience brings together large-scale analytics and advanced AI systems.

Tom Fitzpatrick — EDA Standards and AI in Silicon Engineering

Tom Fitzpatrick is a long-time leader in developing industry-standard methodologies and technologies that support modern chip design and verification. Tom is CEO of Big Fish EDA Consulting and most recently served as Strategic Validation Architect at Siemens EDA. He continues to serve in leadership and support roles on the Accellera Portable Stimulus, UVM Mixed Signal (UVM-MS), and SystemVerilog Mixed-Signal Interface (SV-MSI) working groups, and chairs the IEEE 1800 SystemVerilog working group. He is heavily involved in major industry conferences, serving as past chair of the DVCon US steering committee and as a member of the executive committee of the Design Automation Conference (DAC). Tom earned his bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Tom’s extensive experience, contributions to standards bodies, and EDA industry knowledge will be invaluable to the Moores Lab AI team as we pioneer agent AI solutions to silicon engineering challenges.

“I’m excited to join the Moores Institute’s AI Advisory Board at a time when AI is reshaping the way silicon is designed and verified,” said Tom Fitzpatrick. “Our focus on agent AI for EDA workflows promises to help engineers address complexity with unprecedented efficiency, and I look forward to helping drive this innovation forward.”

Ram Sriharsha — Machine learning, big data, and AI at scale

Ram Sriharsha brings deep expertise in machine learning, data analytics, vector databases, and large-scale distributed systems. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Maryland. Throughout his career, Ram has held senior ML and AI leadership roles at some of the industry’s most influential technology companies. He was chief technology officer at Pinecone, vice president of engineering at Splunk, and head of product at Databricks. At Databricks, he spearheaded the development of Apache Spark and products such as Genomics Pipelines for secondary and tertiary processing of genome sequences on Apache Spark.

Ram’s experience integrating ML systems into mission-critical applications and building extensible platforms will help guide Moores Lab AI’s mission to make chip design faster, more accessible, and more intelligent.

“Joining Moores Lab AI’s advisory board is a great opportunity to help bridge the gap between scalable machine learning and real-world engineering challenges,” said Ram Sriharsha. “We look forward to contributing to solutions that leverage data and AI to transform the semiconductor engineering ecosystem.”

Sherry Henry, CEO of Moores Lab AI, said: “From validation and EDA standards to building machine learning systems at scale, their collective insights will be invaluable as we advance our agent AI solutions and pursue our vision of accelerating silicon engineering at scale.”
