September 8, 2025 – Mojo's Visionthe developers of high-performance micro-LED technology recently announced the end of the $75 million Series B Prime Funding Round to support the commercialization of micro-LED platforms. The company's CEO also said the funding will help support efforts to commercialize micro-driven applications that can boost AI.
Mojo's vision was developed previously Mojolens Augmented Reality (AR) contacted the lens, but officially cancelled the project in early 2023. Instead, the company has shifted its focus entirely on micro-driven display technology, saying it believed microred could disrupt the $160 billion display industry.
“Through micro-driven technology development, Mojo has made great strides in establishing groundbreaking performance standards while laying the foundations of Micro Red as a platform for AI innovation in large market segments,” says Nikhil Balram. “This oversubscribe round round and strong industry support illustrate a new stage in the design and production of next-generation microLED platforms. The company is in an accelerated path to commercializing micro-driven applications that can power AI.”
Mojo Vision has spent almost a decade developing a micro-driven platform and said it has combined several advanced components (300mm silicon architecture, Gan-on-Silicon Emitters, High-Performance Quantum Dots, Micro-Lens arrays) to create a manufacturing process that solves the traditional trade-off between size, brightness and band density.
Commenting on the announcement, Moe Kermani, Vanedge Capital Managing Partner and member of the Mojo Vision Board, said, “Mojo Vision has always shown over time how to push boundaries of what is possible in microred development. Mojo's microLED platform has the power to change the performance of AI infrastructure and reach of AI applications.”
The Series B funding round was led by Vanedge Capital and introduced participation from existing investors Edge Venture Capital, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Fusion Fund, Knollwood Capital, Dolby Family Ventures and Khosla Ventures. New supporters include imec.xpand, key makers, Ohio Innovation Funds and Hyperlink Ventures.
