Now you can easily edit short form videos using a variety of preset AI prompts that allow you to change your outfit, location, style, and more. Available in more than 12 countries in the US, Nigeria, Ghana and around the world
Inspired by the film Gen model, this new feature is just the first step towards the goal of bringing AI video generation and editing across apps and products.
Later this year, you can edit the video with Meta AI using your own text prompt and edit it as you imagined.
Video editing for everyone
The new AI video editing feature is intuitive and easy to use, allowing anyone to edit high quality video without video editing expertise.
First, upload the video to the Meta AI app, the Meta.ai website, or the editing app. Then you can explore over 50 editing prompts to convert 10 seconds of video for free, limited and free.
When you select the preset prompt, Meta AI will edit the video to suit the scenario you selected. You can turn your video into a graphic novel and see yourself being reimagined as a vintage comic book illustration.
Alternatively, change the lighting of a captured video on a rainy Seattle day to create a dreamlike mood with sparkling glow, pearlescent blur and soft focus.
Alternatively, you can turn your video into a video game with fluorescent lighting and combat suits.
You can share your edited videos directly to Facebook and Instagram through the Edit and Meta AI app. The Meta AI app and the Meta.ai Web allow you to share your edited videos directly to your discovery feed.
You can build this feature and make fun and interesting videos for everyone to experiment creatively and share with their friends, family and followers.
Whether you're rethinking memories of your favorite family or finding new ways to entertain your audience, the video editing feature is useful.
We also believe that we can change the way creators create content on the platform, so we worked with creators to understand which prompts appeal to our audience. Video editing features are built into the editing app, making them a seamless part of the creative process.
A Meta Journey to the AI Media Generation
Today's launch is the result of continuous efforts to advance AI video generation by conducting and sharing essential AI research.
In 2022, we created a Make-a-Scene model that allows you to create images, audio, video and 3D animations.
Next, with the advent of diffusion models, we created Llama Image Foundation models, allowing for the generation of high-quality images and videos, as well as instruction-based images and videos.
Last year, I combined all of these modalities to create the film Gen. This is a model that allows you to create custom videos and sounds and edit existing videos based on simple text input.
Now we use this research to provide the market with the first generation AI video editing capabilities, allowing us to express ourselves through video, connect with others, and realize the best ideas.
