Mechanisms are being developed to ensure transparency, privacy and ethical standards in AI applications

Applications of AI

“For the widespread application of artificial intelligence, not only technical capabilities, but also the existence of clear regulations are essential. For this reason, the formation of a legal and regulatory framework was identified as a specific direction within the strategy,” said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov in an interview with APA Economics.

The Deputy Minister said that work is currently underway to create a mechanism to ensure transparency, data privacy and protection of ethical principles in artificial intelligence applications. The goal is to establish a unified approach to the use of artificial intelligence in both the public and private sectors.

“In this direction, we are already seeing concrete results. Eight national standards on artificial intelligence have been developed and approved in line with international standards, four of which will be adopted in 2025. These standards will help improve the quality of applications, ensure security and implement uniform methodologies across government agencies.”

At the same time, the development of regulatory mechanisms related to the protection of personal data, risk assessment and responsible use in the implementation of artificial intelligence systems is also underway.

These measures will create conditions for the development of artificial intelligence technologies in our country in an innovative and legally reliable environment,” stressed Samaddin Asadov.
