Luma AI announced the release of Ray3.14, a major update to its inference video model Ray3.

According to Luma AI, Ray3.14 delivers performance for animation, video-to-video workflows, and cinematic workflows where temporal stability, motion fidelity, and consistency are essential.

According to Luma AI, Ray3.14 is purpose-built for professional creative environments, combining native 1080p output, 4x faster generation speeds, and 3x lower per-second pricing, eliminating the trade-off between quality, speed, and cost in generated video.

According to the company, “This model delivers the highest quality and stability ever achieved by Luma, and excels in animation-heavy, high-fidelity workflows where other models suffer from frequent flickering, drifting, and inconsistency.”

The company says Ray3 pioneered inference-based video generation by comprehensively understanding a scene and maintaining consistency across motion, lighting, characters, and camera movement. With Ray3.14, Luma AI reports that its inference engine is even more powerfully applied to animation and professional video workflows, delivering higher detail adherence.

“Ray 3.14 is designed for creators who need their animations and videos to behave like real production assets,” Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of Luma AI, said in a statement. “Delivering native 1080p, dramatically faster generation, and three times cheaper per-second pricing, we give advertisers and filmmakers a model that excels in animation and is reliable for real-world creative workflows.”

Luma AI reports that the new Ray3.14 update includes:

  • Highest-ever quality and stability for animation and video-to-video workflows — Ray3.14 delivers Luma’s highest level of visual stability to date, excelling in animation and video-to-video use cases where temporal consistency and motion fidelity are critical. Characters, environments, and styles remain consistent from frame to frame, allowing for narrative continuity, sophisticated animation, and production-ready output.
  • Native 1080p throughout the core workflow — Ray3.14 produces video natively at 1080p, eliminating the need for post upscaling or quality compromise. Outputs are suitable for broadcast, streaming, and digital distribution, allowing you to move footage directly into your editing, finishing, and distribution pipeline.
  • Deliver real-world creative iterations at industry-leading speeds — With 4x faster generation, Ray3.14 lets teams iterate on real-world production timelines. Compared to competing AI video models, Ray3.14 significantly reduces time to first frame and end-to-end production, allowing agencies and filmmakers to consider more concepts, side-by-side options, and reduce downstream revisions.
  • Per-second pricing designed for production scale — Ray3.14 dramatically improves per-second economics. With costs reduced by 3x for a typical 5-second video, AI video can support campaign-scale use cases such as multiple formats, cutdowns, and regional variations. This pricing model provides predictable costs and allows creative teams to scale their output without increasing their budget.
