Leia said Immersity AI, formerly known as “LeiaPix,” has been in development for over a year to enable higher resolution and speed in 2D to 3D conversions. What does Leia's new Immersity AI platform do?
With the launch of the new video converter, creators can now add “spatial appeal” to everything from travel videos and digital art to branded content, Leia said. The company also noted that using Immersity AI is also incredibly easy: users simply upload a file, adjust the depth intensity, and export a 20-second sample in just a few minutes. The sample is then available in all major formats, ready for use on traditional screens and XR devices like the Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro.
Immersity AI is powered by Leia Inc.'s Neural Depth Engine, which can generate accurate depth maps in seconds. Leia says the company's next-generation depth mapping technology is continuously trained and fine-tuned on millions of unique real-world 3D captures.

Leier added that Immersity AI already has new features planned, including a consumer app for iOS and Android users that will allow them to easily turn 2D images and videos into 3D creations that can be shared across major social platforms. The company said it will also be releasing an XR app and an extension API later this year for businesses that want to build the functionality into their own platform.
