SEOUL, June 8 (Yonhap) — NVIDIA and SK Hynix announced Monday a multi-year technology partnership to advance next-generation memory technology for artificial intelligence (AI) factories.
“We have entered into a very important and long-term partnership with SK,” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told reporters at SK Group’s headquarters in Seoul.
Huang said the two companies will jointly develop a technology roadmap and deepen cooperation beyond traditional memory development.
SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won also stated that this partnership marks a new stage in cooperation between companies.

“Most of our cooperation so far has focused on memory, but now we will take our partnership to a higher level,” Chey said.
SK Hynix said the partnership will expand its presence in emerging AI fields such as personal AI and physical AI, and ensure a stable supply of advanced memory products despite long development cycles.
“We are at the beginning of the AI revolution,” Huang said, adding that the long-term outlook for AI remains very promising.
Huang also said that NVIDIA will help SK Hynix expand into new areas such as AI infrastructure and physical AI, and will collaborate on memory technology for Vera Rubin, NVIDIA’s next-generation flagship AI platform.
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly develop memory technology for Nvidia’s next-generation systems, including the Vera Rubin AI supercomputer.
SK Hynix supplies Vera Rubin with HBM4, a key memory component, along with local rivals Samsung Electronics and Micron Technology. Nvidia says Vera Rubin is currently in full production with deliveries expected to begin in the third quarter of this year.
The announcement comes during Hwang’s high-profile visit to South Korea, where he is meeting with leaders of major conglomerates and researchers to explore broader cooperation in AI and robotics.
