And now Killorglin-based Graphite Note is taking its mission to the next level on the back of a seed investment campaign which raised €1.2 million from angel investors.
The funding will be used to pursue further international expansion as well as creating a further 25 jobs in the Kerry region over the next two years, another hugely positive story for the cutting edge Kerry industry.
Graphite Note's mission is cutting edge, as the company leverages the latest in powerful AI to help businesses process critical information in a fraction of the time it takes many of their competitors.
What's most impressive is that all of this was achieved in just four years.
Graphite Note was founded in Killorglin in 2020 by CEO Hrvoje Smolic and CRO Vinnie Lynch and describes itself as a “no-code machine learning platform” that gives businesses around the world access to insights through its proprietary analytics system.
The company's latest capital injection from angel investors was backed by the backing of Enterprise Ireland, Graphite Notes said in a statement this week.
The company describes itself as the European leader in its sector, with clients including Fexco (PACE), Katana and Escape Agency.
The company's subscription-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) model “gives business intelligence and data analytics teams access to predictive and prescriptive analytics in minutes instead of months, helping clients enhance operational efficiency, drive growth, and achieve their business goals.”
Hrvoje Smolic, co-founder and CEO of Graphite Note, said the following about today's news:
“Our path since 2020 has been focused on one mission: to provide businesses around the world with the tools they need to grow. With this latest round of funding, we will further this goal, providing businesses around the world with the accessible, actionable insights they need.”
“The market is currently flooded with AI products and platforms, but we believe Graphite Note is a product that will deliver immediate, effective and lasting results to the business intelligence and data analyst teams that leverage its capabilities. We hope to replicate the success we've seen with our existing clients on a broader scale, and this investment will allow us to remain at the forefront of the AI revolution.”
Hrvoje and Vinnie say they leverage their extensive experience in scaling startups and first-hand knowledge of the problems businesses currently face when it comes to data science. To bridge the gap between expertise and access, the duo created a comprehensive platform that combines highly sophisticated technology with a simple, easy-to-use front-end.
“During my tenure as a data scientist, I saw firsthand how labor-intensive and expensive data science can be, and how this has historically caused problems for companies.
“Our goal is to democratize data analytics and give companies an instant competitive advantage. This is the future of data,” added Hrvoje Smolic.
Graphite Note is a great example of international success within the Irish tech ecosystem. Born out of Kerry’s co-working space, the RDI Hub, the company has historically been bootstrapped and now has inbound customers across five continents: the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.
The investment highlights the potential for local technology companies to emerge on the global stage.
“I've been in the technology industry for many years and one thing has run true for me: sales is a science,” said CRO and founder Vinnie Lynch, adding:
“Our platform puts that science in the hands of companies around the world. We're pleased to have the backing of Enterprise Ireland, our angel investors and the other contributors to this round, who understand the value of this mission and the importance of investing in local technology companies. A rapidly growing tech community has formed in Munster in recent years and we're proud to be part of it. These partnerships only accelerate our mission and it's a really exciting time for us.”
Graphite Notes hopes to create 25 local jobs over the next two years in operations, sales, marketing and technical roles.
