Karnataka's Electronics Bureau, IT and Biotechnology have launched research to assess the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the state's workforce.

According to Karnataka IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge, the initiative aims to inform future IT policy 2025 and shape strategic interventions under the government's flagship skill ring initiative, Nipuna Karnataka.

As Karnataka continues to lead the journey of India's technology, Bengaluru has recently ranked fifth in the AI ​​and Big Data Ecosystem, and is home to one or more AI experts, the state has focused on evidence-based policymaking to ensure comprehensive, future readiness.

This study aims to understand, among other things, how AI is integrated into daily operations across the organization. This sees the biggest change with wider access to AI tools, aiming to see which duties are the most vulnerable to automation.
