Team Jumbo Visma posted a very strange AI video about Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard on Tuesday.
This clip shows a computer-generated image of a “young” Jonas Bingegaard dreaming of a professional future. “I will keep dreaming for the rest of my life,” the recording begins. “Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to be a professional one day.”
It shows him wearing his current outfit as a junior on a club team, in a Danish national kit, and eventually on a Dutch powerhouse team.
The video’s caption reads, “A little boy can dream. Because dreams are forever. What a touch of AI can do.”
This post was part of an announcement about Dane’s future with the team. I feel at home thanks to the team and the quality of the people here. A place where we can push each other every day to reach our full potential. I have no doubt that together we will reach higher levels. I’m excited to continue to grow within the team.”
It’s now common for teams to create clever videos, GIFs, or memes on social media for announcements, but this one is a little strange.
