Have you heard of artificial intelligence (AI) tools that answer online interview questions in real time?
The idea behind this technology is to help job seekers who often give incoherent answers due to lack of experience or preparation. These two consistently rank among the top reasons applicants miss out on employment opportunities around the world.
One example of an AI tool that has gained dominance in the job market is Ecoute, which provides answers and guides job seekers on what to answer.
Ecoute listens to questions from HR managers and CEOs, transcribes the questions, and provides real-time answers.

“Ecoute is a live transcription tool that provides a real-time transcription of both the user’s microphone input (you) and the user’s speaker output (speakers) into a textbox.
“It also uses OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 to generate suggested responses that users can speak based on live transcriptions of conversations,” reads part of the AI’s description.
However, even though the platform is free, you have to install the technology on your laptop.
Users also need to perform setup on their machine before AI Platform can start working. In particular, the installation instructions are detailed on his website.
Nevertheless, despite the milestone, AI tools are only available for interviews conducted in English.
“We use a ‘smaller’ version of the Whisper ASR model because it consumes less resources and has a faster response time. However, this model may not be as accurate as larger models at transcribing certain types of speech, such as accents and uncommon words. ,” the developer elaborates.
Pre-Interview AI Tools – Interview Prep AI
Unlike Ecoute, Interview Prep AI helps job seekers prepare for interviews by crafting the most likely asked questions.
To use this platform, you will need to upload your detailed resume (CV) along with your job description and requirements. The AI platform then generates some questions in a mock oral interview that takes place on the site.
At the end of the interview, AI analyzes the responses and provides the applicant with a report on their strengths and weaknesses. This can be used to better prepare.
The platform has a free model, but users are also given the option to pay 1,500 Kenyan shillings for five repeat interviews.
However, some prospective employers are considering using AI as cheat codes and may issue guidelines before interviews.
