Professor Wang is Chair Professor of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing Sciences at the University of East Anglia and has over 25 years’ experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and applied data science. Professor Wang has published around 100 peer-reviewed papers and led more than 20 funded projects supported by the UK Research and Innovation Council, Innovate UK, industry and charities. His research has applications across fields such as healthcare, cybersecurity, insurance, environmental science, transportation, and construction. He was also a scientific advisor to Innovate UK and the Alan Turing Institute BridgeAI programme.
