Infosys uses a hybrid artificial intelligence framework known as polyAI, according to senior company officials, to allow clients to reduce staffing requirements by 5% to 35%. Speaking to ET, Balakrishna DR, Executive Vice President and Global Services registered AI and industry industries, saying that savings depend on data processes, industry and availability. “Depending on the business process, you can achieve 5% to 30%, and even 35%,” he said.IT Major has developed a flexible AI architecture that allows businesses to seamlessly shift AI solutions to a variety of models. This adaptability ensures that businesses are “not tied to a particular tool or model” as new AI technologies emerge. This system helps organizations complete the same amount of work that reduces the number of employees, increasing efficiency while reducing costs.Infosys has evolved AI capabilities designed for autonomous agents that can independently inference, plan, and execute from Assistive or Co-Pilot tools designed to assist employees by providing additional input. These agents are now able to perform end-to-end business operations, just like human workers. “It's a digital twin of things people are doing. Of course, you need to review the action and have a human in the loop,” explained Balakrishna. This shift occurs as high-tech spending slows, with clients demanding better results from cost reductions, affecting revenue growth and margins for service providers, including Infosys and rival Tata Consultancy Services. To meet these requirements, Infosys aims to build an agent AI foundry and more than 200 reusable agents for enterprise-wide use, providing scalable, outcome-driven AI solutions.
