The collaboration will bring together Indosat's network, operational, and customer datasets with Google Cloud's unified AI stack to serve Indosat's more than 100 million customers and provide enterprise-grade AI and generative AI (GenAI) solutions for businesses across Indonesia.

Building on Communications Service Providers' (CSPs') securely managed, privacy-compliant data assets, CSPs can augment human capabilities with multi-modal data analysis, pattern recognition, and recommendations to drive revenue streams and efficiencies.

“As Indonesia moves into the digital age, we remain committed to Indosat's aspirational purpose of supporting Indonesia by equipping businesses and individuals with the tools and technology they need to succeed,” said Vikram Sinha, president and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

“Our collaboration with Google Cloud marks not only an important milestone for Indosat, but also a major step in our mission to transform into an AI-native technology company. Together, we will harness the full potential of cloud and AI to drive innovation, create new opportunities, and advance Indonesia's digital economy.”

Under the partnership, the companies' joint innovation initiatives will focus on creating customized AI and GenAI solutions to address the unique opportunities and challenges in the Indonesian market.

This includes customer service monetization, geospatial analytics and predictive modeling, enhanced network and IT operations, and back-office transformation.

In addition to these solutions across Indosat's business operations, Indosat and Google Cloud will also explore joint go-to-market initiatives to strengthen Indonesia's digital ecosystem.

These solutions, along with Google Cloud's AI-optimized infrastructure, integrated data platform, and integrated AI development platform, will be offered to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), startups, large enterprises, and public sector organizations.

“Indosat's early adoption of cloud-native architecture and an AI-enabled data analytics platform demonstrates the company's forward-thinking approach,” said Karan Bajwa, vice president, Asia Pacific, Google Cloud.

“This strong foundation established through our collaboration in 2021 will enable Indosat to pursue a wide range of high-value ML and GenAI use cases at scale, and we are excited about the possibilities.

“These efforts not only demonstrate the transformative power of AI in communications, but also serve as a blueprint for other sectors that want to leverage this technology to drive growth and impact across the country.”
