Elon Musk spoke at the Vivatech conference in Paris on Friday, warning people about the dangers of AI if it goes unregulated, and calling for another pause in artificial intelligence development.
For several years, Musk has advocated for more sophisticated regulation of AI development. Back in 2017, he argued for future guidelines, saying overdevelopment before regulations could have a negative impact on humanity.
“I’m on the cutting edge of AI, and I think people should be seriously concerned about it,” Musk said at the 2017 National Governors’ Conference. “I keep sounding alarm bells, but until people see the robots wither away.” I don’t know. ”
Tesla has set out to develop its own bot, which Musk announced last year, claiming it could simplify human life by taking on monotonous and tedious tasks.

Musk continued the story in a speech last week, saying that unregulated AI development poses a potential danger to humanity.

A similar conversation took place a few years ago during Musk’s first appearance on the podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” where he spoke about his fears of AI overdevelopment.
He said on Friday that he believes AI development should be put on hold until regulations are in place.
