One of the most popular “all-in-one” AI video platforms on the market today is suddenly in turmoil as the company’s X (Twitter) account was just suspended and it faces a huge wave of backlash from users.
Higgsfield AI, which is marketed as a one-stop solution for AI video creators (in theory, a model that could actually work well for anyone interested in AI video generation), appears to have had its X account suspended for violating the platform’s TOS. Although the exact nature of the violation is unknown, criticism of the company has come to light.
Higgsfield AI confusion
It was originally launched just a few years ago in 2023; Higgsfield AI showed up to find his place. Introduced in the AI Creation Space as an all-in-one AI platform that allows users to use many of the top AI video models on one platform at a time as a way to streamline AI video generation.
This model is not completely unique and is similar to the following: Adobe is working on Firefly video editorusers can choose from the latest versions of top models such as: Kling, veoand Sora. The promise to its creators is that users do not have to subscribe or pay credits for each model and can do all their money through the main platform.
Again, in theory, if this is something an AI video creator (or AI slop generator, whatever you want to call it) is interested in, this could be a useful solution. But posts from users online are starting to paint a different picture.
Higgsfield AI X Account Suspended
The Higgsfield AI account for X (Twitter) has been suspended, and the page simply says, “X suspends accounts that violate our terms.” X rules” We don’t know the exact details of what happened, but posts online report a number of issues that may have caused the outage.
A post by X user Noir outlines a detailed timeline of complaints against Higgsfield. And while some of these issues can (broadly) come down to growing too fast, growing too fast, and making bad marketing decisions, some of them are quite notable and may have been the biggest cause of the outage and backlash.
Ethics of AI video platform
Surprisingly, of all the issues listed, very few have to do with AI ethics or the training of the model at hand. However, they don’t actually come from Higgsfield, as the platform simply allows users to generate content from a variety of models.
The biggest issues have to do with terms such as the “unlimited” plan, which didn’t actually appear to be unlimited, and complaints from users who reported that to draw in generations with Higgsfield, they were actually paying more than they would have if they had signed up for all the different models individually.
The other most egregious concern comes from the company’s accounts that share motion graphics and video clips online. Created from famous stock platformsand the company’s accusations Reuse content from creators And they present it as if it were the result of their own AI generation.
This is a pretty big change in the AI industry, and it’s likely to have a lasting impact. We’ll keep you updated on this and other filmmaking and AI-related news as it develops.
