A digitally altered video of Indian journalist Ravish Kumar accusing Bihar’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders of funding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) through offshore accounts to propagate pro-India stance over Operation Sindoor has been shared on social media.
BOOM discovered that the video contained an overlaid AI audio track to make false claims. In the original video news report, Kumar did not mention PTI, Pakistan or Operation Sindoor.
The video has been shared in English and Urdu by a Pakistani handle with the caption: “Breaking News: Explaining how Pakistan’s PTI established ties with NDA in Bihar elections and funneled Indian taxpayers’ money to PTI leaders in front of Modi government to prove India won Op Sindoor.”
BOOM previously debunked several AI-generated videos posted by @abubakarqassam with the handle X.
